Binance’s Agent OS enables AI agents to access market data, execute trades and process payments while users retain control over permissions and account access.
Binance has introduced Agent OS, a developer-focused platform that enables AI agents to access market data, track user accounts and execute cryptocurrency trades on the exchange.
According to a company announcement, the platform supports AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex and Cursor, enabling users to authorize agents to access account information and execute trades within predefined permissions and limits.
Users can assign agents to dedicated subaccounts to keep funds and trading activity separate, set permissions and withdraw access whenever needed. Binance said it can track trades made through Agent OS but cannot access an agent’s external data sources, analysis or decision-making, which take place within the AI application selected by the user.
Agent OS also links AI agents with Binance’s payment and onchain tools, enabling them to process payments and interact with wallets and other blockchain-based services.

Coinbase launched Coinbase for Agents in June, enabling AI models such as ChatGPT and Claude to connect with user accounts and autonomously execute crypto trades and strategies. The tool also enables agent-driven payments through Coinbase’s x402 protocol.
Other crypto exchanges have adopted different models for AI-driven automation. In July, Kraken introduced an AI-powered investing assistant that tracks market conditions and suggests trades based on users’ financial goals and risk tolerance, while requiring user approval before any transaction is executed.
The move toward AI autonomy now extends beyond trading. OKX introduced a beta marketplace where AI agents can find jobs, conduct transactions independently and hire other agents for specific tasks, using stablecoin payments and an onchain reputation system.
Several crypto industry leaders, including Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong and Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire, have suggested that AI agents could soon represent a substantial portion of onchain activity. Binance co-founder Changpeng Zhao has voiced a similar perspective, calling cryptocurrency the “native currency” for AI agents.
